We frequently come across the saying “all ailments stem from the nerves.” Many dismiss the importance of this statement, questioning its validity. Might we be wrong to disregard these words lightly, considering the potential truth in understanding various illnesses?
A human being is not simply clothed in a body, the soul and body form an inseparable unity. Counter to what our consciousness would have us believe, they’re not divided entities. Every single organ in our body is intricately tied to a spiritual counterpart in the soul. The connection is not merely functional, it forms an incredible and complete unity that is unmatched in the physical world. This means any change in the body impacts the soul and vice versa, possibly leading to mental disturbances. In fact, many psychologists assert that all ailments involve a psychological aspect. Even though the scientific understanding we possess today is becoming commonplace, science never ceases exploring our human nature.
Meditation emerges as a remarkably effective method to eradicate the root causes of diseases. When one enters a meditative trance, thinking, the sense of self or ego, and time all vanish, allowing for a state of heightened awareness.
Have we ever pondered why we fall ill? It may seem entirely arbitrary – some people contract illnesses due to exposure or their genetic predisposition. Could it be possible that each disease carries a spiritual significance?
These are difficult questions to face, almost uncomfortable, but if we genuinely wish for a healthier, fulfilling life, not just in the physical sense but also mentally and spiritually, these questions become crucial.
The diseases rooted in spirituality are borne from a disconnection at three levels – from the self, from others, and from a Higher power. Experiencing a disruption at any of these levels leads to deep spiritual suffering.
Many autoimmune diseases are linked with intangibles – such as self-loathing, bitterness, and guilt.
Certain illnesses are the consequence of broken interpersonal relationships and encompass ailments like cancer, upset, and strokes. These forms of disease typically point towards bitterness seeping into relationships with one or more individuals, which may even involve unforgiveness.
